These round boat leads have become very popular in recent times and offer a number of advantages over the more traditional leads used for downtide boat fishing. The round shape holds the sea bed surprisingly well and allows you to hold bottom with a small sized sinker than may otherwise be the case. For drift fishing they do not ‘flutter’ on the retreive allowing the lure to work in a straight line which often helps to induce more takes.
