Description
Float fishing is very popular in the UK, and those who indulge in it – mostly older anglers – swear by it as a simple, effective and very rewarding way to catch carp in particular. Of all the many types of floats available the waggler is the most favoured for carp fishing and other types of coarse fishing, being simple to set up and working with most types of bait.
Waggler floats are attached from the bottom end and offer good stability, allowing the line to sink naturally into the water when cast using an overhead technique.
Wagglers come in different sizes and shapes, depending on your style of fishing.
The Dave Harrell No.1 Speci Waggler Floats featured here are more buoyant than traditional peacock wagglers, and is perfect for Stillwater and river venues that are between two and six feet deep.
Keep the shotting simple with the bulk of the shot locking the float onto the line and use a No8 or No6 shot for every two feet of water, plus a No8 on the hooklength. If you add a silicone rubber waggler adaptor it will allow for float sizes to be changed quickly and easily.
These waggler floats have different float tip colours, and when you place your order we’ll ship you a random colour set depending on what we have available in our stock.
